Summer Pictures

As mentioned we have had a fun summer at the beach and then to the mountains in July. Jason's family makes an annual trek to the mountains of PA. Slate Run PA is a beautiful area about 3 hours from home. "God's country". Pictures from the mountains are still to come, but here are some from the summer, some from the beach and one of Jonathan in touch with his feminine side.

OOPPPS! It has been too long!

Let me start by saying WOW, what a crazy start to our year! We have made it through birthday season. The kiddos cousin Liz has a birthday in January, Emma is February 10th, Jude is March 3rd, new cousin Genevieve was born on the 13th (I think), Daddy is the 19th, Jonathan is April 14th, and then cousins Noah and Gavin are in May!!! Like I said we have a crazy start to our year.

Next was the start to our Summer, we have bought a house in New Holland, it is requiring a lot of work but we are enjoying getting it just the way we want it. The kids have been tolerant going back and forth between our houses. We have our project house and our retreat house. What a blessing that we did not sell our house right away as we thought that we wanted. God always has a bigger plan than we can see. So our current house has not sold but we are still praying for God's perfect timing in the selling of our house, the move to the new house and getting the new house back together. There is currently no kitchen, but we are getting back together fairly quick!

In the midst of our working on the new house we got to take a week break to head to the Outer Banks. The kids and us all had an amazing time! We went with my family, Nana, Pappy, Uncle Rick, Aunt Tracey, Mom, Dad, Erin, Lauren, Adam, Hannah, Liz and Gavin, plus our family. We had a lot of fun going to the beach making pools in the sand, mountains and burying Uncle Adam. There was an enclosed pool in the back yard that the kids were having so much fun in. Jude was a crazy man jumping in the pool and loving it. He was such a clown we would shot him with the water canon type thing and he would fall/flop into the pool, no fear! Emma was a little more cautious but was jumping right in till the end of the week. Jonathan was enjoying the pool as well, he was not sure at first but really started having fun the second day, floating around the pool in his big float. They all loved the ocean after the 1st day, Jonathan would go down to the water and when the waves would come in he would start running away and when they went back out he would start stumbling backwards. It was so cute. I was so happy that they were enjoying themselves at the beach or the pool!

Oh Chirstmas Tree, Oh Christmas Tree

We made our annual hike through the tree farm to find the perfect Christmas tree. We often go the weekend after Thanksgiving and we were able to continue this tradition again! Jonathan had his first trip to find a tree this year and enjoyed his time crawling around and trying to eat the weeds. Emma and Jude enjoyed running through the rows and rows of trees and then helping Daddy cut the tree down. Muscle Man Jude pushed the tree over. We are trying to focus the season on Christ and making his birth the center of the season and it is wonderful to hear the kids talking about Christmas being Jesus' birthday and that this is why we give gifts to each other. They are looking forward daily to being able to put another piece of the nativity onto the advent calendar. May the season of Christmas bring many blessings, peace and joy!

Time Flying By

Thought that it was time to update everyone on life in the kauffman kiddo craze world! We have been super busy with lots of things that we are finding need to be controlled. We have been putting a lot of energy into church and all of the great things that are going on there and in the process our kiddos are not getting the attention they deserve. They are thriving beautiful kids and they have been so tolerant. Emma has been such a big helper with her little brothers. We have been having so much fun watching her grow and mature. She loves coloring and practicing writing her letters and numbers. It always astounds me at her brightness. Jude is working hard at potty training, he has the ability, but is being a little stubborn. It is hard to stop playing and do your business! He is getting big too, speaking great and getting big size wise too. He is about an inch shorter than Emma and about 2 lbs lighter! Jonathan is sitting up on his own and trying to crawl. He started getting up on his hands and knees and rocking about 2-3 weeks ago, so I have a feeling that it will only be a matter of time...oh, no...3 mobile kiddos! Daddy and Mommy are doing well, just painted the kids bathroom and remodeled the master bath, yeah! The last room that needed painted in the house. Now it is time to buy a new house... ha , ha.

Love my happy happy kiddos!

Hello again...we have been a little busy this summer! But we have been enjoying our children so very much! Emma is amazing us daily with what a big girl she is, the words that come out of her mouth are so impressive at times. Jude is attempting to conquer the potty, he has been doing fairly well and has been enjoying the conquest of pooping on the potty. Jonathan, what a smiley happy baby. We want at least two more just like him. He is smiling constantly and a champ at sleeping. Jonathan has been sleeping through the night, at least 12 hours every night, and we often have to wake him in the morning. We are so enjoying our kiddos...what a blessing...my cup runith over!
