We made our annual hike through the tree farm to find the perfect Christmas tree. We often go the weekend after Thanksgiving and we were able to continue this tradition again! Jonathan had his first trip to find a tree this year and enjoyed his time crawling around and trying to eat the weeds. Emma and Jude enjoyed running through the rows and rows of trees and then helping Daddy cut the tree down. Muscle Man Jude pushed the tree over. We are trying to focus the season on Christ and making his birth the center of the season and it is wonderful to hear the kids talking about Christmas being Jesus' birthday and that this is why we give gifts to each other. They are looking forward daily to being able to put another piece of the nativity onto the advent calendar. May the season of Christmas bring many blessings, peace and joy!

Time Flying By
Thought that it was time to update everyone on life in the kauffman kiddo craze world! We have been super busy with lots of things that we are finding need to be controlled. We have been putting a lot of energy into church and all of the great things that are going on there and in the process our kiddos are not getting the attention they deserve. They are thriving beautiful kids and they have been so tolerant. Emma has been such a big helper with her little brothers. We have been having so much fun watching her grow and mature. She loves coloring and practicing writing her letters and numbers. It always astounds me at her brightness. Jude is working hard at potty training, he has the ability, but is being a little stubborn. It is hard to stop playing and do your business! He is getting big too, speaking great and getting big size wise too. He is about an inch shorter than Emma and about 2 lbs lighter! Jonathan is sitting up on his own and trying to crawl. He started getting up on his hands and knees and rocking about 2-3 weeks ago, so I have a feeling that it will only be a matter of time...oh, no...3 mobile kiddos! Daddy and Mommy are doing well, just painted the kids bathroom and remodeled the master bath, yeah! The last room that needed painted in the house. Now it is time to buy a new house... ha , ha.

Love my happy happy kiddos!
Hello again...we have been a little busy this summer! But we have been enjoying our children so very much! Emma is amazing us daily with what a big girl she is, the words that come out of her mouth are so impressive at times. Jude is attempting to conquer the potty, he has been doing fairly well and has been enjoying the conquest of pooping on the potty. Jonathan, what a smiley happy baby. We want at least two more just like him. He is smiling constantly and a champ at sleeping. Jonathan has been sleeping through the night, at least 12 hours every night, and we often have to wake him in the morning. We are so enjoying our kiddos...what a blessing...my cup runith over!

6 weeks old today!
Jonathan is 6 weeks old today! Jonathan has been sucha blessing to our family! He has been welcomed so warmly by his big brother and sister. Emma continues to be the "little mommy" and Jude is still a helper when needed. Emma has to be told a couple of times a day that she is a little girl and needs to go play and I am the mommy. She is such a big helper though and she is very much appreciated. Jonathan started sleeping through the night on a pretty regular basis when he was about 4 weeks old. He sleeps anywhere from 7-9 hours at a time...praise the Lord! Daddy has been pretty amazing too, he usually takes the early morning feeding. I hate mornings!
Jonathan made his first trip to VA this weekend. We surprised "Grandma Shelia" for her 50th birthday party. She was very excited and surprised to see Emma, Jude and Jonathan. Mommy and Daddy are just the side show. Emma and Jude were great little travelers, Jonathan had his moments. So the first leg of the trip was to Moyock, NC for the b-day party and to church at CCC on Sun morning. Next was at trip to Uncle Charlies house in Lewes, DE. We had a good time with Charlie, Kathy and Emily. Jonathan had his first trip to the beach on Memorial Day. Then the trip was concluded by having a picnic at Gram and Pappy's and ice cream with the family in Stasburg at the Creamery. What a weekend! It was jammed packed but again the kiddos were great! Pictures to come soon.

Over two weeks old!
We are doing great! Jonathan is happy and healthy and Emma and Jude still love him! Jonathan has had a lot of firsts this past two weeks...he went to Daddy's 1st softball game, went to the mall playground, went to the pediatrician and had a great check-up, went to Mommy's work, slept at the playgroud by Daddy's work while Emma and Jude played, and the list goes on! He has had fun exploring this great big new world.

Kauffman kiddo craze increases by one!
We welcomed Jonathan Glen Kauffman to the family on April 14th, 2009 at 10:22 AM. Weighing in at 9 lbs 1 oz, 20 1/2 inches long and a healthy set of lungs! Jonathan was welcomed first by Daddy as Mommy anxiously awaited. He has been doing beautifuly, eating well, sleeping like a champ, and all other systems are a go and functioning well! Mommy is doing well after surgery, a little groggy and sick the first day but much better now that we are at home! Jason is doing great as well and is a very proud pappa of 3! Emma and Jude appear to be adjusting well, they love to hold "Baby Jonathan" and Emma loves to give him his bottle as she had said prior to him being born. Jude likes to run past every once and a while and shove the NUK in his mouth or pet him on the head. Both of them are amused by his frequent hiccups.

Ready to welcome kauffman kiddo #3!

The Countdown!
6 days left! The new Kauffman Kiddo will be welcomed in the mix in just 6 days! Emma is quite exciting telling us that "my baby brother is coming soon!" She comes up to mommy's belly and gives it kisses and "hugs"her baby brother! Jude understands that there is a baby in mommy's belly, but I think that it is still a little perplexing to him that there will be a baby here soon. We have been cleaning and rearranging and getting things in order for the new baby to come...and it can't come soon enough! Mommy is hoping that baby boy wants to come sooner though!

Catch-up time! Our Winter...
We had a relatively uneventful winter this year. Thanksgiving and Christmas with with family and a trip to Michigan with mommy and the kiddos. After returning from Michigan we made the "BIG MOVE"! Emma and Jude moved into a room together! WOW! This has been an ongoing trial and I think that they are finally getting it! They go to bed sleepy and tired and poof! it is like a switch flips and they are bouncing off the walls! There have been numerous sleepless afternoons which make for some cranky evenings but they are getting it slowly! Other than that everyone has been pretty healthy and everything is going well with mommy and daddy too!
Pictures: 1. Emma, Jude and cousin Noah (Josh and Amber's little guy) in Mich.
2. Jason, Emma and Jude after cutting down our Christmas tree
