Our next vacation was to the Outer Banks in North Carolina. It was a Peddicord/Reimers/Kauffman vacation (Heather's side of the family). We had a great time with all of us staying in one house. There were 20 of us in the house, WOW! We had a great time going to the beach by day, out to eat in the evening, ice cream by night. We also got to catch up with some friends from when we lived in Virginia. We stayed with Sheila and Gary in NC and had lunch with the Comfort Care ladies....SUSHI! We felt like we were going home when we attended our church CCC that we used to attend. Emma and Jude had a blast with there cousins all week and Emma loved holding her newest cousin Noah.
The most recent trip was a weekend at the mountains. There are about 50 Kauffman's that converge on a beautiful little area, Slate Run, where there is a quaint cabin that the "Dutch Masters" started years and years ago. Jason's grandfather Ammon Kauffman and 15+ other guys built the cabin as a hunting camp when they were young men. Again the kiddos had a great time running, playing, swimming in the creek (Emma hated it this year,we'll try again next year!), tubing and EATING! We love being with the family and catching up with all the aunts, uncles and cousins.
